Great Job Anthony Irvin!! The leading basketball scorer in the district was also selected to the 1st Team All-Dominion District.
The Success Program is extremely proud of Jeremiah Holcomb, a 2006 recipient of the Richmond Area Inter-Faith Council Brotherhood Award. Good Job Jeremiah!!

 | | The Wilton Foundation Scholarship
The Wilton Foundation is a philanthropic organization based in Richmond that has offered to provide a scholarship fund for students who have been in the Success Program throughout high school. The recipients shall demonstrate the core values of integrity, honesty, responsibility, tolerance and accountability. The students will be attending 2 or 4-year college after graduation.

The Natalie Ellis Memorial Scholarship
Natalie Ellis was a student in the first year of the Success Program in 2000-01. Although Natalie suffered from a serious health condition, she was a very uplifting spirit in the program. Her kindness and warmth made it a pleasure to be in her presence. Unfortunately, Natalie passed away in 2001 as a result of complications of her health conditions. To honor Natalie, a scholarship was created in her name in 2005. The recipient of the Natalie Ellis Memorial Scholarship must be a graduating senior who has been a member of the Success Program. Additionally, the recipient must demonstrate many of the same attributes as Natalie: compassion, servitude and empathy for others.

The Student Choice Scholarship
The Student Choice scholarship was created, fundraised and selected by the students themselves. A committee of Success Program students selected the recipients from anonymous essays written by potential students. The committee established the criteria for the scholarship: overcoming adversity, enrolled in Success Program and plan to attend a 2 or 4 year college upon graduation.

 2006 Scholarship and Award Recipients |
The Success Program would like recognize the contributions of the late "Poor Man's Philanthropist", Thomas Cannon. His association with our students will have a lasting impact on their lives, in and out of school.
The following is an excerpt from a letter Mr. Cannon wrote to our program's Thomas Cannon Comittee:
"...I couldn't be more pleased than I am with you and the manner in which you organized your committee and presented your very first $1,000 philanthropic gift......give yourselves the full measure of credit you surely have earned for being the most kind, considerate, loving and generous group of teenagers I have ever had the pleasure of knowing."
